- Zyxel’s new VPN firewall is designed to rapidly improve network security of businesses
The firewall utilises VPN concentrator technology and SHA-2 encryption to make it one of the most robust network security options available.
Taiwanese networking devices manufacturing company Zyxel launched an all new premium virtual private network (VPN) firewall on Thursday, April 27, with the aim of providing businesses with an end-to-end solution for handling secured communications within several sites and offices.
Known as the “USG2200-VPN,” the firewall is combined with VPN concentrator technology, which adds an extra layer of data and network security to the huge quantities of VPN connections (up to 3,000 VPN tunnels) between branch offices, partner offices, telecommuters, and BYODs in offices, as well as employees on the move.
Since it supports such a varied range of VPN connections including IPSec, SSL, L2TP, and IPSec, it is quite easy for the USG2200-VPN to connect with multiple devices both at work and at home, thereby maximising business mobility and communication security. Incoming, as well as outgoing communication, is secured by the latest SHA-2 encryption, making it harder to break through business information storehouses.
Using the Zyxel Cloud CNM SecuManager Software, businesses will be able to consolidate and strengthen the security management of any and all Zyxel security appliances in use, all over the world using a single interface, thereby doing away with the need for devoting time and resources to carrying out repetitive, time-consuming work.
Nathan Yen, AVP of Zyxel Commercial Gateway Business Center, said in a statement that with the rapid growth of businesses nowadays, it is becoming more and more important for network security to be improved, in which, the USG2200-VPN will prove to become invaluable.
