NetApp with Knowledge Partner CORE Media hosted an exclusive preview of India’s first enterprise-scale hyper converged solution for CIOs.
Select CIOs from Delhi and Mumbai were recently given an exclusive preview of NetApp’s newest enterprise-scale HCI solution. This hybrid cloud innovation helps unify data across the widest range of cloud and on-premises environments.
The previews were held at the Leela Ambience in Gurgaon and ICT Maratha in Mumbai and were the scene of lively, interactive discussions on the use of hybrid cloud solutions across businesses. The evenings saw CIOs from different industries—from BFSI to manufacturing, shipping, construction, hospitality, healthcare, telecommunications, media, and automobiles— come together to explore different ways of harnessing the business’ most valuable asset, data.
Delhi saw an informative panel discussion on data scalability with ICT leaders Prasenjit Mukherjee, AVP (IT), BSES Power Ltd, Veneeth Purushotaman, CIO, Fortis Healthcare Ltd, Sarath Chandra Kummamuru, CTO, Airtel Payments Bank, and Krithiwas Neelakantan, Director, NGDC, NetApp, moderated by Anoop Mathur, President, CORE Media. The CIOs highlighted the digital disruptions being seen in their industries, and how they’re gaining maximum value from data and generating new touch points for customers.
In Mumbai the panel discussion revolved around driving enterprise growth in a digital world with agile and flexible infrastructure. On the panel were Sabyasachi Chakraborty Thakur, VP- IT, Parksons Packaging Ltd, Shiv Kumar Bhasin, State Bank of India, and Sayed Peerzade, Group CIO, Reliance Entertainment and Reliance Digital. All three discussed working with a mix of technologies and how they’re constantly on the look out for reliable, robust, agile and scalable infrastructure that helps them harness the true potential of data and keep pace with rising business and customer demands.
This is the gap that NetApp aims to fill with its new HCI, hybrid cloud, and consumption model solutions. “The organisations that are defining the future recognise that unleashing the full potential of their data is essential for effective digital transformation and long-term competitive advantage,” said George Kurian, Chief Executive Officer, NetApp. “Today’s announcements of enterprise-scale HCI and new hybrid cloud software and services extend our Data Fabric architecture and leadership in providing hybrid cloud data services that simplify management of applications and data across clouds and on-premises environments.”
NetApp HCI helps CIOs break free from the limitations of first generation hyper converged infrastructure solutions. It is the next-generation data centre solution that consolidates all workloads, and independently scales storage and compute resources, providing an agile infrastructure that delivers extensive value to the data-driven enterprise. It also features an on-demand consumption purchase model that has a cloud-like flexibility.
