- ITC Infotech collaborates with PTC and Oracle to develop Augmented Reality Solution

Global technology solutions and service provider ITC Infotech announced on Monday, May 22, that it was entering into a joint collaboration with IoT and AR platform provider PTC, and software giant Oracle to develop a connected service solution that would help improve self, assisted and field services for all industries. The rapid adoption of Service-based revenue models is already propelling several enterprises to reconstruct their service functions with future-ready technology solutions.
As such, the move for an “Augmented Reality for Connected Service” solution is expected to also help customers scale up growth besides letting them increase their market share as well. L.N. Balaji, President Americas, ITC Infotech, stated that the solution has been designed to utilise the most cutting edge technology to provide a turnkey and quick-deploy mechanism for organisations which are trying to transform their service functions, in order to increase savings and improve customer loyalty through an upgraded and better customer experience, thereby securing a greater market share as well.
The solution was developed by utilising ITC Infotech’s skills and prowess in providing Customer Experience (CX) and digital transformations for services in a plethora of industries, and is expected to help enhance assisted service, self-service, and field service interactions in the B2C and B2B industry.
Shon Wedde, Senior Director of Product Management, Oracle, added that the collaboration is going to give the company the ability to research and inspect how the current CX products can be used to improve AR technology, in turn providing a more secure and powerful consumer experience in its Oracle Service Cloud, Oracle IoT Cloud and Oracle Commerce Cloud solutions.
