The two companies expect the partnership to prove invaluable in speeding up the digital transformation processes of their clients
In a recent announcement, SAP and Accenture revealed their plans to team up in order to innovate and develop digital solutions for the market using the new SAP Leonardo digital innovation system. The two companies will be concentrating on upgrading clients’ businesses with a range of digital technologies including analytics, advanced machine learning, and Internet of Things (IoT) with a view of providing a higher value to the SAP investments made by them.
Chief executive officer of SAP Bill McDermott stated that in today’s world, each and every CEO is pushing for digital innovation. And in such a time, through the partnership with Accenture, SAP, armed with SAP HANA and SAP Leonardo, will be the only organisation capable of using in-memory computing and a vast range of modern digital technologies to deliver a range of all new industry-specific digital solutions for its customers. The partnership, stated McDermott, is simply the latest part of a venture that was started 18 months ago, where all the various companies collaborate to use SAP S/4HANA to uncomplicated and speed up the digital transformation of their clients into becoming intelligent enterprises.
Accenture chairman and CEO Pierre Nanterme added that at the moment, the company is at a crucial stage where they are approaching an age of incredible business transformation, with the basics of value creation itself is being reimagined. The partnership with SAP is going to be momentous in that, where the proven digital service capabilities of the company will be combined with the vast industry expertise of Accenture to create unprecedented business value for their clients.
Currently, the companies are building on their current co-development program so that it also incorporates the intelligent analytics solutions of Accenture Digital running on SAP Leonardo. The new services provided are built to help clients create customised models that cater to their particular business needs, so as to achieve improved results using live insights and upgraded decision making capabilities.
With plans to utilise over 50 of its superior enterprise analytics applications in supply chain, finance and accounting, procurement, human capital management, and sales and customer service, Accenture will also be adopting its Industry X.0 approach and use its expertise in Industrial Internet of Things to let its clients use SAP Leonardo to improve the digital transformation of organisations.
Analytics and Industry X.0 solutions will be developed by the company’s Industrial IoT Innovation Center in Garching, Germany and Innovation Hub in Houston, utilising SAP Leonardo. Simultaneously, it will also be joining forces with its clients at Accenture Liquid Studios to build SAP Leonardo–based solutions using design thinking and fast-paced methodologies.
