The acquisition of the UK-based company is expected to help solidify Accenture’s position as a leading intelligent automation services provider.
Global management consulting and professional services major Accenture announced its acquisition of UK-based Genfour, on March 4. The privately held company was founded in 2012, with its headquarters in Cwmbran, in Wales, and caters to a large number of clients spanning a wide range of industries, especially those in banking, insurance, and utilities sectors.
A pure play automation service provider, Genfour works in the assessment, implementation, and management of automation solutions space, and is therefore expected to help solidify Accenture’s position as a leading intelligent automation services provider. The automation professionals at Genfour will team up with the global Accenture intelligent automation team to form core part of the recently formed Accenture Center of Excellence for Intelligent Automation, which based in the UK.
With the acquisition, Accenture will now be able to better apply intelligent automation solutions to help its clients remodel and rebuild their business methods, and also utilise data-driven insights to take rapid, fact-based business decisions and enhance the services provided to customers.
Intelligent automation has been revolutionising business operations, across industries, by creating flexible, scalable solutions to increase innovation, compliance, productivity, and elevate user experiences through better decision making.
In the last year, Accenture claims it has provided training to over 70,000 professionals on new architectures, intelligent platforms, and automation, and implemented automation solutions for more than 80 percent of its clients.
