1. Aston Martin One 77
It comes as no surprise that the brand of car that is synonymous with the legendary superspy James Bond is at the top of this list. Exuding pure class and opulence, this collector’s edition is one that features on the bucket list of every car enthusiast in the world. The elegant machine has a carbon-fibre chassis along with a completely handcrafted aluminium body. The fact that makes this a one of a kind car is that it really is one. Only 77 of these exquisite beasts have been manufactured.
Price: Rs 20 crore


2. Koenigsegg Agera
This Swedish car manufacturer is known for having one of the most difficult to pronounce names, and is the proud manufacturer of Agera, a beautifully crafted sports car that lives up to the high standards set by its predecessors. Named Hypercar of the Year in 2010 by Top Gear, it also holds the title of the fastest car in the world. Its name comes from the Swedish verb ‘agera’, meaning to act. Made from impregnated carbon fibre/kevlar with lightweight reinforcements, this swanky supercar also comes with a hardtop roof that can be stowed under the front hood lid.

3. Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport
If there is one car that gets every car aficionado drooling, it’s the Bugatti Veyron, the car that previously held the world record for the fastest car. Beloved all over the world, and extremely popular because of its uber cool design, it has been showcased in a huge number of movies and video games. The Grand Sport comes fitted with a carbon fibre monocoque that is suspended from an aluminium frame in the front and a carbon fibre/stainless steel frame in the rear, making it as safe as it is luxurious.

4. Rolls-Royce Phantom Series II
Rolls-Royce is synonymous the world over with unmatched class and panache, and not without reason. The Phantom Series II is available in two versions, the standard and the extended wheelbase version, that adds an extra Rs 1 crore to the price tag. This timeless classic combines the elements of modern design along with the signature Phantom features. This creates a machine that is simply unmatched in luxury and exuberance, while confidently giving any contemporary sports car a run for its money.

5. Maybach 62 S
Another special edition, the 62 S has an unusual story behind its name. The luxury car, fitted with the latest and most advanced amenities available in the automobile world, is 6.2 metres in length, which is the reason behind its name. What many fans don’t know, however, is that this incredibly grandiose concept car, as well as the Maybach 57 variant, was inspired by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class sedan.

6. Lamborghini Aventador
Any list of expensive cars is incomplete without the mention of a Lamborghini, especially the Aventador, which has even earned itself the fancy of Batman, or Bruce Wayne, in The Dark Knight. The name of this supercar is inspired by bullfighting, following Lamborghini’s long-standing tradition of naming cars after Spanish fighting bulls. The futuristic design, characteristic of Lamborghini cars, makes the Aventador one of the most impressive cars in the world.

7. Bentley Brooklands
Bentley, another automobile giant, is well known for its adorable Beetle, used in a plethora of movies and television shows. The adjective adorable, however, is the last word to be associated with the Brooklands, an incredibly well built piece that symbolises the dependability and rugged strength that Bentleys are known for, while holding its own confidently, in terms of luxury and class. The car is named after the Brooklands banked motor racetrack in Surrey, a place where Bentley achieved some of its greatest triumphs during the 1920s and 1930s.
