1. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4
In the midst of rumours of a Redmi Note 5 already surfacing on the Internet, the Redmi Note 4 recently made its much-awaited debut in the Indian smartphone market. Powered by a Mediatek MT6797 Helio X20 Qualcomm 600 series processor, the Redmi Note 4 packs in a large 4100 mAh battery, alongside a 5.5-inch 1080p display, 2GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, a 13MP front camera, and a 5MP back camera, along with the Android 6.0 Operating System. The best part? Three variants of the Redmi Note 4 are available to suit different budgets. The base model is priced at Rs 9,999, while the higher end models retail for Rs 10,999 and Rs 12,999.
2. Vivo V5 Plus
Launched on January 27, the Vivo V5 Plus went on sale from February 1, priced at Rs 27,980. As far as specifications are concerned, the phone features a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display and a 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. In terms of power, the phone boasts of an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clocking in at 2Ghz and an Adreno 506 GPU. Equipped with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage, the phone’s main highlight is its camera. While the 16MP rear camera comes with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection auto-focus and LED flash, the front camera includes a 20MP lens partnered with an 8MP lens and an f/2.0 aperture, along with a bokeh style mode that allows portraits to be taken, similar to the iPhone 7 Plus, except using the front camera. It runs on the Funtouch OS 3.0 on top of Android Marshmallow, and is equipped with a 3160 mAh battery.
3. Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro
Priced at Rs 36,900, the newly launched Galaxy C9 Pro started pre-bookings from January 27. Equipped with a 6-inch Full HD 1080p resolution sAMOLED display coupled with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor, the Galaxy C9 Pro is definitely a beast that lives up to the brand’s reputation, especially after the recent debacle with the Note 7. Additionally, the phone has a 6GB RAM, huge 4000 mAh battery power, and massive 64GB internal storage. There’s also a brilliant 16MP front and rear camera with f1.9 lens that lets you capture brilliant photos even in low light.
4. Huawei Honor 6X
Redoubling its efforts to capture the Indian market, Huawei launched the Honor 6X on January 24, priced at Rs 12,999. The attractive specs include a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display with 2.5D glass, a 16MP+2MP primary camera with LED flash and a 6P lens, and an 8MP front camera. The Honor 6X is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 655 octa-core chipset, and comes with 3GB RAM, and 32GB internal storage that is expandable up to 128GB. The cherry on the cake is the 6X’s 3340mAh battery, equipped with fast charging technology that puts to rest worries about your phone unexpectedly running out of juice.
5. Lenovo K6 Power
This phone was built to be a direct competitor to the Redmi Note 4. The model comes the impressive specifications include a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display, a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and PDAF, and a 5MP front camera, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core chipset, and a monstrous 5100mAh battery. The storage options include two variants, 32GB and 64GB, similar to the RAM, which comes in 3GB and 4GB variants. The 3GB RAM model is priced at a jaw-dropping Rs 9,999 while the 4GB RAM for Rs 10,999.
