5 easy-to-make detox juices for a quick cleanse

In this age of artificial additives and synthetic preservatives, most of the food that we eat is loaded with harmful toxins, as well as dangerous levels of added sugars, carbohydrates and fats. However, the busy lives that we lead do not always allow us to pay that much attention to what goes inside our body, and as a result, end up harming us physically in the long run. So we at Bonne Vie bring to you five detox juices using easily available ingredients that you can make and store in your fridge, that help flush out all the unhealthy toxins flowing around in your body.


1. Beetroot, Carrot, and Apple juice
Whoever said that fruits and vegetables cannot be combined was definitely not thinking straight. All you need for this healthy concoction is a carrot, a beet, half an apple, and a few slices of ginger. Simply put all the ingredients in a blender or juicer, and you one of the most delicious natural drinks you’ve ever had, that is a mix of sweetness owing to the carrot, paired with the slightly sour taste of an apple. The juice has just 155 calories, and is full of natural nutrients and antioxidants.

2. Sweet potato, Almonds, and Orange juice
A combination of sweet potatoes and orange with some almonds thrown in for good measure, this energising drink has all it takes to fill up your body with the necessary potassium and protein supplements it requires. All you need to do is throw an apple, half an orange, some almonds and half a sweet potato into a juicer, and you have a delicious natural juice that will balance your fluids and electrolytes, and supercharge you on the days when you feel exhausted and spent.

3. Kiwi, Grapefruit, and Orange juice
Perfect for winters, this concoction protects you against the flu while boosting your immunity as well. The added benefit being that it is as delicious as it is healthy, you can make this wonderful drink by mixing kiwis, grapefruit and oranges with a pinch of cinnamon in a mixer. The cinnamon adds the unique taste to this nutritious juice that is full of essential vitamins that help your body fight off diseases, while improving your overall physical well being.


4. Peach and Lychee juice with coconut water
If exhaustion and drowsiness have been affecting your work, the best way to deal with them is to make a natural juice using peaches, lychees in syrup, and coconut water. While the juice itself is an excellent source of energy, the juice also helps keep you hydrated and maintains your body fluids. All you need to do is mix half a glass of coconut milk with one peach and as many lychees in syrup as you wish, along with a teaspoon of honey for a better taste, to make this delicious and healthy drink.


5. Strawberry, Mango, and Blueberry juice
One of the most important things that help detoxify our bodies is antioxidants, and so, what better way can you get a boost of revitalizing antioxidants than by making a home-made juice using some of the most antioxidant rich fruits in existence? Blend a mango, a glass of blueberries and three or four strawberries in a mixer to make this mouth-watering and healthy drink.
